Hello RLG. I recently started playing on your Prop Hunter server. After playing 3 or 4 maps, I grew tired of one of the moderators abuse of power. Athena was using her mod powers to teleporting other players, disabling sound so she can her other players ramble on about silly nonsense, and preemptively gag and mute players for no given reason. When someone called a different player out for ghosting, she muted him, and I could obviously tell to she was telling other players where some people were hiding as well on the map. I really don't find that fair at all. I never said anything in game because I was afraid I was going to get kicked. It was really irritating hearing other players constantly flirt and use sexual jokes towards her that she just laughed at (ie "Hey Athena I like your pussy) she has a cat in her steam profile picture. It was very hard for me to enjoy this game with her being very loud and obnoxious for no reason (well, for attention from the guys). I just wanted to bring this your attention so you can help make this server be a better place for players like me. Gladly email on the email on this account and I will be more than happy to supply a couple screenshots or answer more questions if you have any for me. Thank you for your time.

I was in game on 9/28 with jbabbit112 and I can confirm that there were specific instances of Athena abusing the powers of a moderator. I don't talk much or communicate well online because I was afraid of getting muted or gagged by her if I were to call in question of what she was doing. There was a really obnoxious user by the name of GandalfTheWhite which she gagged and muted for good reasons but then she continued to teleport players and continued to block game sounds just because she wanted to hear a specific user. To me that is abusing her rights as a moderator because the specific sounds of the game should not be within her sphere of influence to disrupt. She also used her influence to peer pressure users into changing maps that "she did not like" this reduces the 1st amendment rights of users in game and does not allow for a free and open community to enjoy variances in gameplay and maps.

pjbabbitt112 What you are saying is abuse of power (ie Teleporting players and Disabling Sounds) the teleporting was teleportation of stuck players, and the stoppign of sounds was on the crash house map that has the god offale music and she only gaged players after giving the 5 or 6 warnings. Noone to my attition said ("Hay Athena I like you pussy") I was on most of the night.And for the ghosting you are claiming is her saying you cant hide there please move.
aven if i remember you were playing a sound board through you mic and you were asked to stop. and she asked players to votemap because we were on a map that too small for the amount of people we had on (btw the map was expired with like 17 people on)!

I was there also and the only time she gagged or muted somebody was because they were being inappropriate and she had previously asked them to stop and they continued to be a problem on the server. As far as teleporting, thats her job if somebody gets stuck to move them out of another prop they got stuck on. As far as blocking sounds the sounds on Crashouse are annoying and you cant hear the taunts of the props, before you decide to come here and complain about her "abusing" her powers get your facts straight. Also, Pjbabbit112 you were only on the server for maybe an hour, dont act like you were there for the previous three and witnessed all the bullshit that was going on from other people being D bag's, the person that was saying "Hey Athena I like your pussy" Was GandalfTheWhite being a douche bag, and yes Aven, you were playing a sound board and asked to stop. As somebody thats played on this server for about six months now i can vouch for Athena and know she wasnt "abusing" her powers.

Hello pjbabbitt, I was there for all of this as I am on the server regularly. I'd like to address each of your complaints individually. Athena Teleporting Players: She teleported a player (tp) when we were too stuck to use the !unstuck command. Athena (disabling sound): She disabled the music for the Crash Bandicoot map because she found it annoying and people we're talking, I agreed with her decision as it helped me understand what the players were saying without distraction. I am sorry you found what they were saying was "silly nonsense" but that is your perspective/opinion and does not support your point on why this is an abuse of power. Athena Gagging & Muting players: This was not at random nor was it incessive, she muted and gagged players who were either mic spamming or were continuing to say things even after being asked to stop. (One instance she was called "Mom" more than once even after being asked to stop because it was rude and it offended her. She had every right to mute/gag him, I was also called "Dad" for supporting her.) I deeply apologize for your feeling of fear to talk but this is a friendly community, as long as you were not bullying or mic/chat spaming there is no reason for anyone to gag/mute you. Sexual Jokes/ Flirting: The're a lot of close friends on here, these sexual comments and jokes were funny and not once did you speak up against them. Maybe if you had tried to say something about how you felt about these comments and conversations they would have ceased. If you had and we did not notice I apologize. Slapping/Whipping/Igniting: She only used these commands on players she knew personally to be funny and the players she used it on found it funny themselves. Please think over the entire situation before accusing a moderator of abuse of power. |

Hello PJbabbit112, Aven, Xela, Shake n Bake, and Vayne.
After reading over the abuse of powers listed, the map involved, and the reason's for the use of her Moderating abilities, I see no reason for any action towards Athena for using her Moderator powers. Athena acted in the best interests of the server and all players involved, not necessarily each individual player's personal interests. As a female Moderator, Athena is and has been harassed by male players, and being called "Mom" was offensive to her. She was within her rights as a Moderator to gag/mute players.
If you would like to double check the rules of the server, please go onto the server and type !motd into the chat. Offensive language is not tolerated, and we do NOT tolerate people being disrespectful to our Staff.
I would go into further details about each individual complaint, but Vayne's comment covers the topic appropriately, and I feel no need to repeat what he has said.
